Your Online Dating Profile Description: What Women Respond To Well
Women aren’t all the same, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t find a good basic online dating profile that would attract the most ladies. Women want men, they want someone who has goals and aspirations. Even if they are still without an ultimate goal if a man appears to be comfortable in his own skin and has an understanding of who he is they’ll be interested. Women are attracted to confidence.
The women of today are also not into a man who wants to dictate their lives. You need to be the master of your own life, not theirs. They want someone who will afford them the same Independence that you expect to be awarded yourself. Coming off as hovering and controlling is a total turn-off.
What are the core elements of a good dating profile that demonstrates sophistication, class, power, humor & a hint of vulnerability?
When we say ″power″ we don’t mean ″Man hit hard″. You don’t have to be a body builder to portray strength. Honestly, women tend to prefer slimmer builds to muscular ones. What they want to see is someone who feels like they have an effect on the world around them. Someone who feels like they control their own lives and destiny is ultimately sexy to a lady.
Starting there and then showing a woman some class and sophistication in your level of taste will be one more feather in your cap. Try to show off things that you enjoy, like good food, beers or wines, music, shows. Sophistication and class do not have to be high society. What it has to be is understanding of what things are and how they rank against other things. Being able to dissect something you like briefly is important to showing class on dating sites.
End this sort of thing with a glimpse at your more human side. You want to come off as someone who is humble, but not groveling. Try saying things like a favorite comedian or comedy actor after something more heavy. For example, if you mention that you really are into current events, you can also say something like ″But you know, the Daily Show still gives me a good laugh″. Once you’ve opened yourself up to being more humorous, then you can also add in something that’s emotionally important to you. This sets you up as being more real and slightly vulnerable.
You must not appear to be trying too hard.
Women don’t want your life stories. These profiles cannot be too long or a woman will lose interest. She also doesn’t want to hear about things that happened 10 plus years ago unless it is something extremely important. Overloading a chick with too much information comes off as pleading and desperate. You don’t want that. You want to give her enough of yourself to make her curious.
There is also a huge difference between ″trying too hard″ and ″being a jackass″. Make sure that you don’t say things like ″I’m usually way too busy for most people″ or ″don’t expect me to get back to you right away″. A woman wants to feel like she’s important and that you want to hear from her.
Your profile needs to be authoritative. Not asshole-like. Build a decisive profile and you’ll be ahead of 99% of guys.
The most common problem that we have is that we confuse a take-charge attitude with being a complete dick. Chicks do this too, but that doesn’t mean that it looks hot to prospective ladyfriends. You want to say things that make you appear to be in control of your life but willing to adjust yourself. You also need to think about how you are coming off. If your profile isn’t attracting the babes you want it to then you need to sit back and reassess how you’re sounding. Basically you want to come off like you do care about meeting people, but you’re not hanging your very last hope on it. Here are two examples of what to say on a dating website.
1) I’m the sort of guy who really love to live my life to the fullest. I’m currently working towards a degree in Engineering and I want to work in Aerospace Design when I graduate. I’m definitely the sort of person who goes out to get interactions and internships on my own. I like to be in control of my future. It can come off as a little intense, but there’s a lot more to me than that.
Work’s important to me, but when I’m not at work, I don’t want to be working. I love to try new foods out, local brew houses and restaurants are a passion of mine. I’m learning how to cook and would love to hang out with a woman who is interested in food like I am. I can’t promise I’ll always knock your socks off with a five star meal, but I’m getting pretty good if I say so myself.
I also am into hiking. Nothing’s better than packing up a lunch and going for a walk on a nice day. I like the peace and the centering feeling I get from the outdoors. I have two dogs that make great walking buddies. They’re important to me, so I also need a woman who likes dogs. I’ve got pictures of them up here, they’re goofy mutts but I love them.
I’m looking for a lady who is career-oriented like I am and values her independence. I want to enjoy things with you, not run your life. If you like food and the outdoors, shoot me a message, maybe we’ll click.
2) I’m an established professional who is finally ready to settle down. This doesn’t mean that I’m fixated on finding the perfect woman, but I definitely know what I want. I’m not that concerned with how much money a woman I’m dating makes but I’d like a woman who appreciates things like wine and good music.
I want a woman who will enjoy going to higher-end restaurants and knows how to handle herself there. If you’re looking to get into things like wine I’d be happy to show you the ropes, but don’t pretend you’re something you’re not. I’d much rather enjoy showing someone how to appreciate what I love than deal with someone who is pretending to be something they aren’t.
When I’m looking to take a woman out on a date I’m more attracted to someone who is confident and assured. If you know what you want and aren’t afraid to tell me then we’re going to get along great. I appreciate directness because that’s what you’re going to get from me.
